Or is it all blade? Well, it’s both. This native Greenland design, like it’s North American Beavertail canoe cousin, evolved over hundreds of years into a simple, yet very sophisticated tool. The Greenland style of paddling utilizes the stronger muscles of the torso and allows the hands to grip any part of the paddle. Hold it centered for all day forward motion. Slip it off center for quartering into a wind. Grip it near one end for extended paddle rolls. Young dog or old, this paddle will teach you some new tricks. Shaft Dim: 1 1/4" x 1 1/2" oval. Blades 3 1/2" x 32" - 37" depending on length. Basswood, Black walnut, Ponderosa pine; Wood Ducktm wax/oil finish.
