Tim Linehan has built a respected career around fly fishing, river conservation, and guiding in Montana’s Kootenai River Valley. His dedication to professionalism, stewardship, and time on the water reflects the values that continue to shape the future of river culture and guiding.
Meet Tim
Tim Linehan and his wife Joanne operate Linehan Outfitting Company in Montana’s Kootenai River Valley, where they guide anglers through some of the region’s most scenic and productive waters.
Over the years, Tim has earned a reputation for professionalism, deep river knowledge, and a strong commitment to conservation. He was recognized as the Orvis Guide of the Year in 2013 and has long supported organizations like Trout Unlimited while helping promote responsible stewardship of wild fisheries and public waters.
Tim is also a longtime Clackacraft Pro Staff member and spends countless days rowing drift boats for trout anglers throughout Montana. Whether rowing technical water or guiding clients through long days on the river, Tim trusts Sawyer oars for dependable control, efficiency, and durability.
